PRIVATE COMMISSIONS

The bulk of my work has been furniture for private clients.

From 1975 onwards I have produced a diversity of free standing, domestic furniture in solid Australian timbers.

Designs for dining tables and chairs, sideboards and dressers, bedroom suites , lounge furniture, desks and writing tables have challenged and satisfied my drawing and making skills.

My approach is to listen to the clients' needs and aspirations, and produce furniture items which are visually satisfying, elegant and functional. Sometimes the pieces are dramatic, at other times they are restrained. I have produced single items which have solved a specific need. On a few occasions, I have been asked to make all the free standing furniture for a new house project.
